THE ARCHBISHOP

Personal Project: I really wanted to work on my anatomy skills so here's a likeness exercise of Cardinal Donald Wuerl. It was hard to get all his facial features right but I think it went well.....Jokes aside: A personification of the Catholic Church's atrocities and their cover ups. A creature with hands fused in a perpetual prayer of inaction; smiling to reassure its flock that everything is fine, while its multitude of all-seeing oozing eyes hint at the sickening knowledge it hides. The terror… the begging to stop… the rape… the prayers for the end… God witnesses it all. Again, and again, and again… thousandfold. He loves His children… but not as much as He loves to watch.
